Week 4 “Building Teaching Skills through the Interactive Web”

Introduction
Some educated people think that learning English language as second language by means of technological tools is just a waste of time; students can not show an interest in learning, they are just getting pleasure from technological tools. Consequently, most of schoolboys are not capable of speaking English language properly and fluently. Those people, however, are completely wrong. As far as I am concerned, technology plays a vital role in learning English language or teaching any subject; this process of learning can get students attention span properly, and can make them competent in their subjects. In fourth week, we majored in assorted favorable subject matters; as, discussing reading, writing, and vocabulary skills, issue or problem that started the project, and technology enhanced lesson plan.

Discussing Reading, Writing, and Vocabulary Skills
English language has got absolutely an enormous boundary in each and every part of lifespan, and has been picked as international language in all over the globe. Four skills (Reading, Listening, Speaking, and writing) are essential for learning this international language. In week three, we discussed listening and speaking skills in detail. In this week, we have got discussion on reading and writing skills. Reading and writing skills are considered as the main priorities of language learning. These skills enrich students thinking skills, and get them to increase their knowledge in every sector of lifetime. I pored over Mei-Ya Liang’s article “the extensive online reading activities for ESL/EFL students using E-books” conscientiously. His activities are very, very attention-grabbing, and they are extremely valuable and knowledgeable for these skills. I ensured his all suggested links for enhancing students’ reading, writing, thinking, and vocabulary skills; all have got vivid sitting and full of momentous activities regarding these topic.

Issue or Problem that you Started the Project
Project learning is the crucial part of education. It helps us to enhance and enrich our teaching skills smoothly. It has got an attempt to try a new technology tool or technique in our teaching, and brings victorious and successful changes in our schools and classes. Thereupon, it is known as the backbone of teaching and learning. In project at times various issues and problems occur such as, class sitting, biggish number of students, not enough technology tools, and so on. I have got two issues; lack motivation to English Grammar learning and practicing (students), Biggish number of students; which are putting my students off while learning or practicing their activities inside classroom. I always have an attempt to get rid of these disturbing issues for ever. I hope that I shall get through solving these issues as soon as possible.

Technology Enhanced Lesson Plan
Lesson plan is the most momentous approach in the teaching method. This crucial course of action plays extremely vital role in students learning process. It gets teaching very, very easy and fascinating for teachers as well as for students; without lesson plan teacher can be able to well and get students concentration and outcomes. Therefore, it is said to prepare good lesson plan and enrich students knowledge in every subject. Technology plays a master key role in lesson plan. If we utilize technological tools in our lesson plan, we will be capable of teaching any subject satisfactorily. Technology enhanced lesson plan makes each and every subject matter easy for students, and gets them to share their learning internationally. I have seen and prepared various templates of lesson plan, but I adore Oregon's lesson plan template because it has got vivid sitting. I attempted and prepared lesson plan according to this template (posted on nice-net). It is really great and easy one.

Conclusion
Technology plays very, very important role in enhancing teaching approaches as well as students knowledge in every subject. In this week, we have gone through crucial topics which entirely brought great changes in my teaching styles. Finely, this course is beneficial for every teacher because it gets to develop teaching methods through the Interactive Web. I am once again thankful to our instructor and classmates, who lend a hand me in every work or activity.

Week 3 “Building Teaching Skills through the Interactive Web”

Hi Dear Robert and all colleagues!!!!

We are terrifically fortunate to be the part of Oregon University’s program. This program gets us to step up our teaching strategies through the interactive web. I enjoy tremendously gaining knowledge of valuable activities of this course. In third week, we majored in assorted favorable subject matters; as, aural/oral skill-building websites, creating a delicious page, and discussing a past sample project report.

Aural/oral skill-building

The art of listening needs it highest development to listening to oneself; our most important task is to develop an ear that can really hear what we are saying. Listening and speaking both are considered as the main priorities of language learning. I myself feel affection for these both skills greatly. I always endeavor to create an awesome atmosphere for listening, speaking, or pronunciation skills. I knew some techniques ere for enriching students’ listening and speaking skills, but at the present moment I have accumulated in Oregon’s course various tips from articles (CALL for listening, speaking, or pronunciation skills), constructive ideas of my classmates, and from other websites. I studied some lesson plans from our course main page, too; they were really first-class for enhancing speaking, listening, and pronunciations skills. In short, aural/ oral skills are momentous and crucial learning for any language.    

Creating a delicious page

Delicious is a way by which one can save his web links and find them from any computer on the Internet; and also lets him shares links easily with others. It is extremely amazing way for adding various collections of online sites. I truly feel affection for this page because it makes our work like taking candy from a baby.

First, I felt a bit frantic creating a delicious page and adding links over there, but go on far I created it successfully. Afterwards I added some of my preferred links on it. Delicious page made me capable of    including links to other people's Delicious pages on my page, too.

Reading and discussing a past sample project report

Reading project reports of professional people can bring an enormous fluctuation in ones work or job. This is a huge process of learning in every walk of lifespan. In this week our third subject matter was reading and discussing a past sample project report; I pored over Aleyda Linares’s Final project report intended for learning English language as second language. I absolutely knocked out her project report. I learnt many techniques from her method of teaching. I remarked her project on nicenet in detail.        

I am fond of familiarizing my self with all aspects of teaching method. Third week was wholly full of eventful readings and teaching activities. The whole topics got me to carry out them in my own class conscientiously. I fully anticipate that at the end of this course, we will be considered as perfect teachers in our subjects. I love this course; and I am once again thankful to our teacher and classmates, who lend a hand me in every work or activity.

Week 2 “Building Teaching Skills through the Interactive Web”

Hi everyone!!!

        I definitely feel in a great mood while taking lessons and working on various themes of this fascinating course; it seems an enormous treasure of knowledge. In addition, this course has got an attempt to adapt us to a new and sound environment of technology, and gets us to be at home utilizing technology in our teaching approaches. At this point in time I acknowledged that without web skills our teaching is just a waste of time. In second week, we have gone through assorted beneficial subject matters; as, searching website, ABCD method objective and final project – step 1, describing a class.

It is entirely proved that technology is only the weapon through which a person can fight and overwhelm the battle of lifespan. It is considered as the vital necessity for leading a successful time in every sector of life. Correspondingly, it made me capable of recognizing the genuine tools of technology while I was searching my best site in web page. First, I didn’t know about any others sites except some common websites; as, Google, Hotmail and so on. When my computer’s cursor got into the web page, it opened the treasure of sites and let me to learn about them with no trouble. There, I looked for a number of articles and found them with enthralling and knowledgeable details. The whole engines were brilliant and perfect, but I opted iSEEK EDUCATION for my information needs. I found its all activities and work straightforward, well- balanced, intriguing, knowledgeable, and in a great detail.   

ABCD method Objective

I eminently agree with Jones’s quote.

"Clear objectives can help the instructor design lessons that will be easier for the students to comprehend and the teacher to evaluate".

Clear objectives are considered as a vital necessity for good teaching because they make available a link between expectations, teaching and grading. A clear course objective facilitates students to make sense of each and every area of a subject. Clear objectives always enhance students’ thinking skill and get them to work hard in their subjects effortlessly and smoothly. In this week we accumulated about ABCD model objectives. I swotted up the ABCD method objectives conscientiously. This method is absolutely invaluable and worth-while for high-quality teaching. I followed on the ABCD method in my teaching and enjoyed a lot because it made me comprehend my students easily in every topic. Furthermore, this model objective can get better our teaching techniques well. I love ABCD model objective.

Final Project – step 1, Describing a Class

Project learning is the crucial part of education. It helps us to enhance and enrich our teaching skills smoothly. It has got an attempt to try a new technology tool or technique in our teaching, and brings victorious and successful changes in our schools and classes. Thereupon, it is known as the backbone of teaching and learning. I boned up on the whole steps of Final project, and all found very, very knowledgeable and remarkable. In this week our topic was just describing a class. I described the student population, setting, course goal, and student needs in detail on nicenet. I fully took pleasure while completing the first step of Final project. I keep my fingers crossed and hope that we will increase our teaching techniques by means of this valuable project effortlessly. On the whole, I entirely enjoyed this week and learnt a lot. I am once again thankful to our teacher who gets us to make better our teaching adequately.

         I am really tickled pink to be the part of Oregon University's program. I found eminently the whole activities intriguing and well-informed. Furthermore, I got the hang of many things in first week; as, using nicenet, ground rules, rubrics, creating academic blog and so on. I enjoyed enormously while creating academic blog because it is momentous and vital for sharing thoughts or ideas with people in every aspect of lifespan. I love technology because it made every thing straightforward to pick up. I am really grateful to my teacher who wants to let me learn more and more about how to use superior techniques in teaching according to the new era.
